Our Doctor

Dr. Heather Triggs is proud to bring her passion for eye care to the Topeka and Shawnee County community. Originally from Nortonville, Kansas, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emporia State University and her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. During optometry school, she gained hands-on experience treating a variety of eye conditions through her work with Cherokee Nation and volunteer service with SVOSH and the Bedlam Clinic.
Dr. Triggs enjoys all aspects of primary eye care—from routine eye exams and contact lens fittings to diagnosing and managing ocular diseases and urgent eye conditions. She has a special interest in treating dry eye and fitting scleral contact lenses. Her goal is to make every patient feel cared for, heard, and confident in their vision.
Outside the office, you’ll often find Dr. Triggs staying active at the gym, working on a DIY home project, planning her next beach trip, or spending time with her husband, Tanner, and their Yorkie, Penny.
She is a proud member of both the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Triggs is excited to welcome you to Crystal Vision and looks forward to caring for you and your family!
